FOOD RESOURCES FOR FOOD INSECURE FAMILIES:
If you need food resources, please contact your school counselor and/or utilize https://foodfinder.us/ to find food resources in your community.
If the government shutdown continues, people who rely on SNAP and WIC may not receive their full food benefits. SNAP is the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, also known as food stamps. It provides food benefits to low-income families to supplement their grocery budget. WIC is the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children of low-income families. For families already stretched thin, this lapse or delay in benefits could mean impossible choices between food, rent, medicine, utilities, and more. To help our friends and neighbors in need, we are collecting both non perishable food items and grocery store gift cards in any denomination. Please feel free to send in gift cards with your child or drop off cards at the front desk of either building. Thank you!
